Rising from the ashes of an ageless war between the Firelings and Icelings, the alliance that forged the artificial intelligence of the Purgatoran Guard (P.G) has served ever since as a symbol and an enforcement of their truce on Purgator. After becoming self-aware, the P.G. became more powerful than either of their parent races and founded an interstellar prison system.

Firelings

Born in magma pools, the Firelings of Purgator's moon of Fferno are a fiercely passionate and territorial race widely varying in size and body configuration. Their burning desire to belong in a cosmos otherwise mostly icy to them leads them to fear and attack beings of lower temperatures, and to fear the infinite freeze of space itself.

Icelings

Assembled of heirloom ice crystals, the Icelings of Purgator's moon of Zzard, inverse of their Fireling counterparts, thrive in low-motion temperatures that few other beings can withstand. Their ambition to fit in with a scalding cosmos conflicts with a sharp reaction to any injury to their pride.

Fascinated with the ubiquitous nature of triangles, the frog-like Trigonogs cling to the treetops as highly evolved predators stalk the paths of their jungle territories. Trigonogs revere triangles above all other forms as the source and cycle of life. Several mystical geologic triangular formations seed myths about portals to other worlds--substantiated by a Prime Artifact which activates the properties of the triangles...
