Zea

Young, curious, intrepid explorer, Zea forms the heart of the adventures. Wherever she goes, Zea brings the peoples she encounters an outside perspective that can restore their unity. Zea's ability to diffuse conflict nonviolently and to inspire hope in others is a key characteristic of her heroism. Instead of defeating enemies, Zea finds ways of making friends and allies of them. She shows us the power of the individual to change society through unity and collaboration.
Ygo

Outcast as an intolerable bully by the Metalfolk of Iunn, Ygo scoured the planet for a home until she found Shen, the same place where Zea and Ouy found their own homes. After living by tenets of cruelty, Ygo comes to understand friendship and compassion when she aligns herself with Ouy and Ph'Thorey'yn against the Spikeling invasion of Iunn. Ygo and Ouy become very close as allies, and then as partners.
Kiddin

Kiddin, Kikkin’s kid brother, is a genius inventor and engineer, nearly always tinkering nimbly with a project in two hands on the go while his other two hands do other things, chiefly plumbing other people’s pockets. He’s stealthy, and sharp as a whistle, but most of all his wit inspires a knack for humor. Kiddin is a master of jokes, riddles, pranks, and puns. He’s quite a word-juggler, which he expresses in the written components of his articulate machinations. Kiddin makes a prolifery of gadgetry with which he equips himself and others.

With the power to concentrate light into sound waves, Crescendo uses his powers to stun and overwhelm foes. He depends on a local light source for his powers, while his wheeling acrobatics are matched only by his tactful intellect. Crescendo cares for Lumin as a partner, though they are of different species.
Behold

Behold’s body shines with all the light that falls on Lo, no matter how far apart they are. When they both concentrate, Behold can project a clear picture of Lo’s surroundings on her skin. After the episode on Imortalu, Lo & Behold agree to help Zea’s team; Lo stays with Zea’s team while Behold zips back to Iunn using the Orb of Distance, a Prime Artifact.

Long ago, a council member of the Shadolings, whose name is lost even to himself, opposed the Purge of the Nervewalkers. After agreeing to shelter Klaracor in his heart, the councilman eventually became villainous, drunk with the power Klaracor could give him. Together, they would become Zorb.

Jazmyn is a name for the organizational principle of life in the universe. They are the confluence of all consciousness, spanning all of time and space and the akashic realm. Jazmyn has a will, which is the collective will of all living things, and they act through living things in subtle, but influential, ways.

The Thunderlings' most important Orb Guardian, Ph'Thorey'yn is the warrior charged with protecting the Willorb (a Prime Artifact of the Architects) from falling into the wrong hands--or any hands, for that matter. When Skåigard falls to the Spikelings, Ph'Thorey'yn pilots the Willorb Vault, crash-landing on Iunn. Failing to stop Zea from taking the ship to the stars brings Ph'Thorey'yn to his knees, but preparing Ouy and the Iunnians for war with the Spikelings and a journey to find the Willorb restores his purpose.

Encountered in episode 19, Zea’s team discover Hn’taloh trapped in the world of Sm’threen. When he joins Zea’s quest, the team learns that he is the last of his kind, that he works as a scientist from the Univercity, and that he designed and built Geod’hn.

Hi! I'm the initial writer, developer, and artist of the AoZ. I'm a nonbinary environmentalist, science enthusiast, social justice advocate, musician, board game designer, artist, and entertainer. I live with Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism that is both a gift and a challenge. Natural diversity and that of the human species fascinates me and informs my work. I'm organizing for animitronic theater with 3D projection and televised recording. This includes a stage with actors, puppeteers, Augmented Reality (AR) glasses and light projection! My top priority is to create a platform for unheard voices in communities of color and LGBTQIAA+ communities. Immortal, ancient, powerful, and mysterious, Wro is a force to be reckoned with. A bioluminescent microbial consciousness, she inhabits other life forms and consumes energy from their bodies to survive. Her powers terrify Zea until their uneasy alliance proves to be a dynamic relationship and an integral thread of their shared cosmic adventure.

Brother of Kiddin, Kikkin is a survivor of Krezlon's invasion by the Spikelings. Kikkin and Kiddin are powerful allies of Zea, part of her team’s core. Kikkin's skill as a warrior is matched only by the strength of his sense of honor and responsibility to use his strength to protect others and preserve the vulnerable.

Brainstem, a behemoth humanoid brain born of no known origin houses the scholarly, inquisitive, observant intelligence named Brainstorm. Brainstorm is Brainstem's mind, and Brainstem is Brainstorm's body. Brainstorm is telepathic and telecerebral, able to link minds at long distances and cause vivid distortions in the mental landscape.
